Late autumn is an incredible time to experience Glencoe and the Scottish Highlands. With dramatic light, moody conditions, and the first signs of winter in the mountains, it’s one of the most atmospheric times of year for landscape photography.

This three-day photography tour will take you to some of the most iconic and striking locations in Glencoe and Glen Etive, with plenty of opportunities to capture everything from sweeping mountain vistas to intimate details within the landscape.

We will be travelling together in a minibus throughout the tour, allowing easy access to locations and maximising time in the field.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or have years of experience, this tour is a chance to explore, learn, and enjoy your photography alongside like-minded people. Myself (Henry) and Ian will be there throughout to help, offer advice, and make sure you get the most out of each location.

PLEASE NOTE: As we will be travelling together in a minibus throughout the tour, it is important that you stay in either Glencoe village or Ballachulish. We will be collecting and dropping off participants from these areas each day. We recommend staying at the Isles of Glencoe Hotel, as it’s well located and makes collection straightforward.

If you’re unsure before booking, feel free to get in touch and we’re happy to advise.

What to Expect

  • Small Group Size: We’re keeping the group to 8 people so everyone gets the time and guidance they need.

  • Plenty of Time: We will be out for around 7 hours each day, finishing up around sunset

  • Varied Locations: Over the three days, we’ll explore a range of locations across Glencoe and Glen Etive, from dramatic mountain landscapes and winding rivers to quieter, more intimate scenes. We’ll also keep things flexible so we can adapt to the weather and light each day.

  • Friendly Guidance: We’ll focus on practical help with things like composition, using light to your advantage, and getting to grips with camera settings. We aim to make sure the experience suits you as best as possible.

  • Flexible Itinerary: The exact plan will remain flexible throughout the tour. We’ll adjust locations and timings based on conditions to give you the best possible experience and photographic opportunities.
